Important Update from Firehouse Hockey

By Firehouse Hockey Staff, 01/23/17, 8:45PM CST

Earlier this evening the following message was sent to our team captains. We felt it important to also update our players and fans with these security enhancements on the site.

Dear Team Captains,

First and Foremost I wish to extend my gratitude for your support of our mission.  Firehouse Hockey is committed to providing the best available resources to our teams and Public Safety hockey.

If you have not already explored the features on our new site, or you would like to do a guided walk-through of setting up and using them, please reach out to us. We will gladly take some time to accommodate you, we have had several calls with captains who seem to really enjoy the scheduling, roster, and team stat apps.

With our growth we have also realized some potential issues. We have not had any security issue or threat but have made a very specific change to our websites. Effective immediately team contact information is no longer publicly available on our website. Our number one concern is the safety and support  of our first responder and military teams.

Firehouse Hockey was created to help teams network, and we are still committed to this cause. ALL of our team captains, once registered with the site, are still given access and the ability to contact our teams, we have just felt that it was important to protect this information from the general public.

Thank you for your continued support, and if there is any way we can assist you or your team, please let us know.  Later this week we are going to be sending all the registered users of the site a newsletter and list of upcoming tournaments.

Thank you again from all of us at Firehouse Hockey.
